Position: Indefinite Temporary Patient Access Representative
Pay Rate: $14.50/hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Downtown Buffalo, NY
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones
- Request medical records
- Enter patient demographic information
- Handling insurance verification’s
- Schedule appointments
- Faxing and calling information to insurance companies
Education and Skills Required:
- High School/GED required with medical office experience
- Associates Degree or Medical Billing Certificate helpful
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or patient registration is absolutely required
- Previous experience and knowledge of insurance verification required (preferably pharmacy authorizations)
- Detail oriented, multi-tasking abilities and strong organizational skills
- Excellent phone/patient etiquette
