Job of the Day! Financial Analyst

Position: Temporary Financial Analyst (A/R & Collections)

Length of Assignment: Running until October 2019

Location: East Aurora, NY

Compensation: $20 – $30/hr. DOE

Hours: Mon – Thurs 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 1pm

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collections of outstanding receivables and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency
  • Manages global licensing accounts receivable portfolio including collections, and chargebacks/disputes as assigned by manager
  • Participate in projects, assist management in quarterly and year-end audits and perform other related duties as assigned
  • Identify the most important accounts receivable balances to collect on in order to meet company goals, and proactively connect with customers to ensure timely payment of related invoices. Build relationships with recurring customers to facilitate a smooth collection process
  • Analyze, research, and resolve past due items maintaining collection standard for current aging status for assigned accounts; liaison with customer contacts via telephone, email and customer web portals to collect data from various customer locations, resolve payment issues and facilitate collections
  • Create new processes to manage cash applications and collections on licensing contracts

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
  • 2-3 years in collections and claims reconciliation experience
  • Licensing knowledge and experience a plus, including the understanding of Minimum Guarantees, Shortfalls, and basic royalty accounting
  • Experience with PC software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), IBM Cognos, High Radius, Rights Logic and Oracle
  • Good organization skills and ability to prioritize workload throughout day to ensure timely follow up and effectively handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
