Position: Direct Hire Graphic Artist
Location: Buffalo, NY
Compensation: $19-23/hour DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide graphic service to all business units by supplying proofs, blueprints, print ready files, films & plates
- Support digital cell with print production and printer operation when necessary
- Digitally revise or recreate customer art from electronic files and/or hard copies
- Create dimensioned technical proofs and blueprints
- Create mechanical files for Flexo & digital print processes
- Operate equipment to make files and plates in conformance with documented procedures
- Setup digital job tickets
- Check files, plated & digital files for accuracy and quality
- Operate digital cutting plotters, laminators & other digital printers
- Develop improved techniques and workflows
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Graphic Arts or Design
- 2+ years of pre-press or print work experience
- Be knowledgeable about 4-color process and spot color files preparation & printing
- Proficient with all technical aspects of digital file preparation for print
- Advanced skills with macOS and Windows OS
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, MS Suite
- Experience with AutoCAD a plus
- Experience with electronic pre-press equipment
- Must be detail-oriented, be organized and team-oriented
