Job of the Day – Bookkeeper/Office Administrator

Position: Temp-Hire Bookkeeper/Office Administrator
 
Location: Buffalo, NY
 
Compensation: $16-18/hour DOE
 
Hours: 30 hours/week: Monday-Friday, 9am-3:30pm
(could go FT upon perm hire)
 
Responsibilities:
– Collect timesheets and send hours to the Corporate office for payroll processing
– Prepare invoices to send to customers for billing purposes
– Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
– Call and/or email customers who are behind on a payment
– Enter orders obtained via phone, fax or email
– Obtain price quotes from vendors; provide quotes to customers
– Enter inspection reports into the database and send final reports to customers
– Assist with insurance/benefits, Workers Compensation and Disability matters
– Answer incoming phone calls; respond to inquiries
– Order office supplies when needed
– Other duties and/or projects as assigned by Manager
 
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
– High School Diploma / GED required
– Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
– Proficient in QuickBooks
– Must have previous accounting and administrative experience
– Must have strong communication and customer service skills
– Detail orientated, multi-tasking abilities and strong organizational skills
– Be able to work independently and in a team environment
