Job of the Day – Office Clerk

Position: Temporary Office Clerk

Length of Assignment: 12 Months

Location: Grand Island, NY

Compensation: $13-14/hour

Hours: M-F, FT Hours

Responsibilities:
• Communicate with customers & employees, address complaints & disseminate information
• Answer & direct calls; take messages
• Compile, copy, sort and file records
• Compute, record and proofread data
• Generate various reports
• Maintain filing, inventory, mailing and database systems
• Sort and distribute mail
• Sort checks and keep payroll records

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Prior administrative/customer service related exp. required
• Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to keep information organized and confidential
