Position: Temp to Hire Press Operator
Location: Lockport, NY
Hours: Train on 1st shift but would move to 2nd or 3rd shift after training
Pay: DOE
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for the set-up and operation of cold set printing presses
• Seeking familiarity with cylinder cold set web presses
• Manage manufacturing processes: productivity, quality, safety and good housekeeping
• Perform tasks including: die cutting, punching, rewinding, slitting & folding
• Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on the press machines
Experience and Skills Required:
• 2+ years’ experience running press machines
• Prefer experience on standard or variable cylinder cold set web presses
• Must be mechanically and technically inclined
• VIP presses a plus
• Must be able to read blueprints and operate basic measuring equipment
• Basic reading, math and direction following
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment & excellent attention to detail
