Position: Temp-Hire Drafter/Planner
Location: Lancaster, NY
Compensation: $21-26/hour DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
• Prepare 2D drawings in AutoCAD to support manufacturing of mechanical parts, weldments and assemblies
• Prepare Bills of Materials in order to define those parts and materials needed to produce a mechanical assembly
• Prepare operation sheets (Travelers or Routers) to define the operations required to manufacture a finished part
• Print, sort and organize contract drawings for the manufacturing departments
• Assist manufacturing and sales with sketches or proposal drawings as required
• Assist with engineering changes, drawing changes and drawing errors
Experience, Skills and Education Required:
• Associate Degree or equivalent in Drafting/3d Modeling
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D software
• Must have experience in drafting shop drawings for the manufacture of parts, weldments & assemblies
• Familiarity with basic weld symbols
• Knowledge of preparing Bills of Materials of parts/assemblies for the purchase of raw materials and subcontracted parts
• Experience in preparing contract operations sheets (Travelers or Routers)
• Sheet metal experience is preferred, but not required
